Spirit in Limbo

Gregory Dirr

Acrylic on Canvas

2019

The Spirit figure is a personification of the shadowy things that appear occasionally from the corner of your eye. This appears and disappears in an instant. In my own interpretation, this Spirit can be tiny as a molecule or huge like a galaxy. Spirit In Limbo illustrates this perspective the best – the symbols in the background can resemble either constellations or molecule structures. The spirit is wandering around before they enter our dimension of reality. Once one breaks through into our reality, its easier for more to enter.
